Care Aide (North Delta)

Part time Care Aide position available.
Duties include personal care, ADLs, light house cleaning, light meal preparation, and possibly driving the client in his own vehicle to appointments.
Must be experienced working with persons with quadriplegia and are knowledgeable about the challenges of this disability, experienced with wound care, skin assessments, bowel routines, catheter care, medication administration, and manual transfers.
Must speak, read and write excellent english, have demonstrated a professional attitude, be mature, reliable, able to multi task, work under pressure, and complete assigned responsibilities on time.
Due to the client's medical needs, this position is suitable for nursing students in the RN program, or currently licensed LPNs and will be a good opportunity for applicants to aquire first hand experience using their education.
Will consider an RCA if applicant has considerable experience in the above requirements.
Special consideration will be given to applicants who also are able and willing to assist with minor home handyman types of tasks, but not required. Must have current criminal records search, a clean driving abstract, and provide a resume with work related references at time of application.
